57 hand gun

57 Hand Gun - The all-new Ruger-57 pistol is a specialized weapon chambered in 5.7x28mm cartridges. The 5.7x28mm (5.7) pistol cartridge, developed by FN in the 1980s, is a small caliber, high velocity pistol cartridge based on the 5.56x45mm SS109 NATO cartridge. The ammunition is fast, about 2000 fps when it comes out of the 5" barrel. Ruger introduced their Model 57 in the United States in late December 2019, which uses the 5.7x28mm cartridge. Bringing you one of the first Ruger-57 pistols "hot off the press" for review and demonstration. I was lucky enough to get

I have no doubt that the 5.7x28mm cartridge is an excellent cartridge with some advantages. The 5.7mm case and bullet have been shortened for what some say is improved performance over the 9x19mm. The cartridge has a long and thin construction with a narrow case and a pointed bullet, as you can see in the photo above. It is about 4 times longer than its diameter. It is comparable to the standard 9mm round, which is about 1.5 times as long as it is wide. The 5.7x28mm cartridge has its center of mass further back of the bullet than other cartridges. Thus, when the 5.7 cal round hits the target, the bullet rolls or leans forward and yaws from side to side, creating a much larger wound cavity. This helps transfer the energy of the bullet more efficiently to the target with less chance of penetrating through and behind the target. Hence, a large wound cavity; More power transfer; less excessive penetration; More expansion. Some say the 5.7mm has one-third the recoil of the 5.6mm NATO and only two-thirds of the 9x19mm. Cartridge pressure levels are low enough that the gun will blowback and help reduce recoil. I had to shoot it myself to see how much recoil it had and to compare it to the beautiful FN 5.7 pistol I reviewed here in December 2016.

5.7 There are mixed opinions about cartridges and handguns, and it depends on how you define and measure "performance" etc. Although it was criticized by gun control groups, the ATF investigation found no commercially available ammunition for the civilian market. Some have claimed that the 5.7 caliber pistol is capable of penetrating ballistic armor. The second generation 5.7 cartridge was developed for the law enforcement and civilian market. The "LF" cartridges (lead-free SS195LF) can be used for training and law enforcement, while the SS197SR sporting cartridges are intended for civilian use, as armor-piercing ammunition is illegal in the US. ) with a completely lead-free primer and projectile. It is designed for indoor use or where potential lead contamination is a concern. (I prefer open grades.)

Replica Review: Tokyo Marui Fn 57 (five Seven)

Some say the cost of 5.7x28mm ammo is a major disadvantage. Think about it. Civilian SS197SR cartridges cost around $20. For 50 shots, HP SS195LF cartridges cost about $25 for 50 rounds. Thus ammunition is now comparable to .45 ACP (eg Speer Gold Dot 230g HP $28 for 50 rounds) and other calibers (eg Federal Premium .40 S&W 155gn HP $28 for 50 rounds). Personal wallet preferred.

5.7 is currently in service with the military and police forces of 40 countries, including Canada, France, Spain, Greece, India, Poland, and the United States, including the US Secret Service, some Navy SEAL units, and the Federal Protective Service. The internal hammer of the Ruger Double Action 5.7 is not a SAO striker as some say, but always cocks when a round is in the chamber. No decoker. So, I had to try the 5.7 to make sure this unique shotgun and caliber worked for me, even though I prefer the 9mm. You can compare this review with my analyses, comparisons and handgun ratings in the second edition of my book Concealed Carry and Handgun Essentials.

First is the specifications and features of the Ruger-57 pistol. Then I will give you my 10 criteria by which I rate all firearms. Finally, I present my analysis and how I specifically rate the weapon against each of my 10 criteria for recommending or not recommending. As always, set your own criteria and preferences, do your own research and compare my data, information, etc. with yours for your personal selection process.

Here are just 10 of my criteria and factors I use to rate any handgun, so I'll use them for the Ruger-57. In addition to my criteria, there are other subjective features such as certain style, magazine exit location, action, caliber, appearance, number of magazines included, scope/modification type, bore axis, rail, lever. Added additional features like angle, no carry or carry, holster and bag, customer service, etc. So, I combined them into my final variety of criteria. I have to admit that all weapon decisions involve compromises, but I want all of my criteria to be met. I assigned a total possible score of 10 to each of my 10 criteria to get a total possible score of 100 points. Of course, you can add your own additional criteria and preferences or remove any of mine.

Recognize that there are many features, characteristics, pros and cons, and personal criteria to consider and take into account, and you must make your own trade-offs based on your preferences, preferences, specific needs, and use.

I was itching to shoot this pistol and purchased 5.7x28mm 40g Federal American Eagle AE5728A ammo. Ammunition is readily available and you can shop around for the best ammo prices. 5.7 caliber cartridges are offered by FN Herstahl, Federal and Speer. I used up this reserve very quickly and I had to shoot more to adequately test and evaluate it. I would appreciate Ruger donating some more stuff. This gun was a lot of fun to shoot and I was blown away by its accuracy, lack of muzzle rise and very smooth recoil for such a light gun. I happily shot about 400 rounds and could not tear myself away from this beautiful pistol. I usually shoot 500 rounds over a couple of days to decide if I want to use this gun and how best to use it. Below are my scores for 10 Ruger-57 benchmarks for home defense and long range shooting. I was wondering if this lightweight pistol with a 4.9" barrel and 5.6" height would be a portable weapon. For me, it wasn't too heavy, too big, or bulky for concealed carry. I know some people wear it. I wanted to test the gun and thoroughly inspect it for defects, stoppages, accuracy and reliability. Thanks to Ruger for providing Federal American Eagle and FNH cartridges for pistol testing and evaluation.

This Ruger-57 pistol proved to be excellent. No crashes or stalls, and I really liked the 20-round magazines. They digested different types of ammunition without problems. To be honest, I was surprised by the very low recoil and almost no muzzle rise. I can honestly say the recoil is much less than my 9mm cartridges and about the same as my .22 cartridges. When I rotated the slide it felt light and smooth like butter and it was very easy to slide the magazine in and out nicely. And stores quickly and easily fell from the well. He performed exceptionally well. I was impressed with its short, smooth, light and crisp trigger pull, which was similar to my single action pistols, although it was a pre-cocked double action. I love the ergonomics and lines of this gun. Despite being polymer, it feels very light yet feels solid in my hand. I find it very comfortable to hold in my hand and the moderately aggressive grip design is just right for me. The grip is fairly thin, but long enough to accommodate 20 rounds in the magazine and is noticeably wider. For my medium-sized hands, the grip is just right and comfortable. Again, I'd like to highlight this gun's pleasantly smooth recoil and very little, if any, muzzle rise. Excellent features and performance for improved accuracy. After checking the range I revise and present my thoughts on each of my criteria.

At different ranges, especially from 10 to 25 yards, accuracy is very acceptable, but shoot yourself to make your own decisions based on your ability and skill and budget.

New Fn Five Seven Mk3 Mrd Semi Automatic Pistol

The accuracy of the Ruger-57 suits me from 5 to 25 yards. This aging freak was the subject, but the gun did most of the work. I didn't have to adjust the rear sight for height or adjust it horizontally out of the box. After detuning it, my hits are pretty good. 4.75#
